TRSF Interceptor Fighter - Rearming Concept

Environment concept for a high speed endo-atmospheric supersonic one-man fighter aircraft. 

The TRSF Interceptor is a high performance air superiority fighter capable of engaging targets using dual repeating railguns and up to 8 air-to-air guided missiles. However, it can also be armed with air-to-surface laser guided bombs for stationary ground targets. It is highly manoeuvrable with two variable vector engines guided by 'rail field envelope' technology to accelerate the airframe.

The Interceptor also possesses modest stealth technology and the entire cockpit canopy can be ejected as an escape pod in an emergency. This craft is essential to the Rapid Strike Force's ability to respond quickly to hostile situations and aerial disputes. Interceptors are commonly used to clear paths for bombers and other friendly aircraft.

Ground crews work quickly to refuel and rearm the Interceptor with large railgun slugs, air-to-air missiles and bombs for the upcoming strike against enemy forces. Forklifts carry additional railgun ammunition, countermeasure flares and other combat consumables. Diagnostic computers are also plugged into the Interceptor's computer to perform vital flight system checks, and to download combat and flight logs. The aircraft can be towed via low tractor to the rear of the hangar to the flight deck elevator, or to another section of the hangar for more thorough component overhaul or complex maintenance.
