Mamba Spotters work together with snipers to mark High Value Targets or to help guard the immediate area from enemy infiltration.

Mamba Spotters choose from a relatively wide variety of weapons, but they most commonly use either the Auto Rail witha Hybrid Holo/ ACOG Sight, or the advanced Battle Rail with Relay Scope and overmounted MASTERTECH Variable Red Dot Sight.

The Battle Rail is one of the few bullpup configuration rail weapons in the TRSF arsenal. The slugs already travel further than the common Auto Rail, but the rifle can be adapted with an extended rail barrel to propel the rounds even further, making it a deadly automatic sniper rail rifle.

The Relay Scope allows spotters to look out from under or behind obstacles, hitting or merely observing targets discreetly. The foregrip has the FireControl Pad which is used to manipulate friendly drones or mark targets and gain other useful information without projecting onto their helmet HUD.

Teams of Mamba Scouts are sometimes deployed wearing special ablative armour plates. The armour protects the wearer from Directed Energy projections or kinetic projectiles, like railgun slugs, shrapnel, and flying debris. The armour works best to absorb kinetic impacts by dispersing the energy of the impact from modern slugs to antiquated gunpowder rounds which are still relatively common. Directed Energy blasts cause the most wear and tear to the armour plates, as the intense beams melt away the layers of the armour.
Fortunately, a quick resupply allows Mambas to exchange depleted armour for fresh stock. Armour composition is classified, but public knowledge dictates that a composite of lightweight plastics, metal alloys and thin ceramics are used. The surface is even chemically treated against corrosion.

Both Snipers and Spotters can share special slugs between each other. The normal 11mm AP slugs can be fired further and more accurately from the Long Rail as compared to the Battle Rail. However, the Battle Rail can fire the same slugs in a semi or fully automatic mode for medium to long range firefights.

The larger 20mm slugs are described below. AP HV (HyperVelocity) slugs can penetrate multiple infantry targets or modern construction materials. Airburst Anti-Personnel Slugs have very rudimentary microprocessors to allow the slugs to explode above or below cover, depending on user selection. Finally, Reactive Detonator slugs offer limited utility versus light to medium vehicles or highly armoured troopers. These orange-coloured slugs pierce the target and then detonate based on time travelled, upon impact, or manual detonation.

Apart from that, the shin guards contain sensors for detecting faint electronic signatures used by modern enemy forces. Perhaps more importantly, these sensors allow Mambas to detect anything from modern land mines to other explosive traps and IEDs.
